The Xstoner server software can run on one or several Autodesk Editing/Effects systems in a facility. It allows for multiple client connections, so a large number of users can simultaneously access framestores on their IRIX and Linux based systems. Using Xstoner, the framestores can be accessed both within and outside the facility over the web. A powerful, proxy-based browser allows users to view the Autodesk system clip libraries.
The same Xstoner software can run on one or several Sledgehammer systems allowing for the same level of functionality and connectivity available with the Autodesk systems.
Xstoner server provides batch processing capabilities for users to maximize productivity and to free up systems to focus on creativity instead of data/video transfer or basic image manipulation functions.
