Multi-User Collaborative Workflow

• The MAXedit server can connect to any network attached or direct attached storage, providing facility users with access to media that has already been ingested or transferred to the shared storage.

• Multiple users can browse, play back, and edit their content using adjustable proxies that are generated and streamed on-the-fly. The light proxy traffic to users is very network-friendly. At the other end, the MAXedit server does all the heavy processing on the original material in its native resolution and format, with virtually no impact on the network.

• Where traditional setups generate high-bandwidth traffic between each edit station and the shared storage, MAXedit localizes such heavy traffic to the connection between the MAXedit server and the shared storage.

• The web-based MAXedit Manager provides administrators and users with system set-up, team collaboration, project monitoring, and media previewing tools.

Format-independent Editing Anytime, Anywhere

• Real-time native editing of all common SD and HD compressed formats including DV, DVCPRO, HDV, and MPEG-2, and uncompressed sequence-of-images formats like DPX.

• Support for tapeless camera formats like Panasonic P2 and Sony XDCAM.
