Montreal, Quebec –
April 19, 2006 – Maximum Throughput Inc. (www.max-t.com),
developers of ultra high performance software-based solutions for networked
storage infrastructure and media management, announced today that they
will be demonstrating an integrated RGB-based 4:4:4 workflow with Max-T’s
Sledgehammer™ and SONY’s HDCAM-SR™ VTR at NAB 2006.
This solution will be shown in both the Max-T booth (SL610) and the
Sony booth (SU107). The combination of Sledgehammer and the HDCAM-SR VTR allows facilities to first digitize material from tape into file sequences, which are then accessible everywhere in the facility. The process maintains pristine 4:4:4 color information, yielding much more latitude for the editing, effects, and color grading steps of the post-production process. Once a project has been completed, the finished material is then written from Sledgehammer back onto an HDCAM-SR tape and delivered to the client. “Post-production and broadcast facilities
are transitioning to an integrated video and IT-based workflow. Sledgehammer’s
capabilities in bridging these two networks makes it a very powerful
non-linear and 4:4:4 capable companion to our HDCAM-SR system.”

Division of Sony Electronics. For more information please contact:
